Use the search engine, before you post
Make sure you are not double posting, search the forum first to make sure your question has not been answered dozens of time before. You can find the search button at the top of the main page.
Post in the right forum.
You may have your post deleted if you post in the wrong forum.
Don’t cross post.
Don’t post the same thing in more than one forum.
Use a descriptive thread title.
This will help others find threads through the search engine. Please avoid slang in thread titles.
Do not use abbreviations.
Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people.
Trolling is not allowed.
Personal Attacks.
Criticize ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, intentional inaccurate information, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy or violates any laws. When writing your messages, please use the same courtesy that you would show when speaking face-to-face with someone. Flames, insults, and personal attacks will not be tolerated. It's fine to disagree strongly with opinions, ideas, and facts, but always with respect for the other person. Great minds do not always think alike, and that's where the fun is!
Do not post with Caps Locks on.
Please do not post messages with the subject or post all in capital letters. Words all in capitals are not only annoying but are read 50% slower than normal writing. It will not get you any more noticed. In fact, it is generally considered irritating shouting.
Explain yourself.
Your opinion is of no use if you do not explain why.
Do not use abbreviations.
Take the effort to write full words, so that everyone can understand what you are writing about. Many abbreviations can mean multiple things. Misunderstanding abbreviations can even lead to lethal situations.
Do not PM staff with questions, that can be answered on the forum.
Staff has a busy job already, so please post forum questions in the forums. This way others can answer as well and your thread will be helpful to others as well.
Remove personal data from pictures
When posting pictures, make sure that the camera used does not store personal data.
Signatures are expected to follow the same guidelines as posts.
